I live in a small city, and I've only ever met one other blind person in my area. I've been wondering if there are any social gatherings in the blind community that don't involve sales pitches or speeches to sit through. I'm just looking for a casual event where I can connect with others in the community without any pressure.
Are there any meetups, social clubs, or informal gatherings that you know of? I'd love to hear about any experiences or recommendations you have for finding and participating in these types of events.
Let's help each other discover opportunities for social connection and support within the blind community, where we can simply enjoy each other's company and share experiences without any added agenda.
