Can no longer do the job I used to do, not sure what to do now!

I lost my vision several years ago as an adult, I’m no longer able to work in the field that I work in for most of my adult life so I’m considering going back to school. How many of you had to change occupations, how many of you are working? Not sure what I should do now? I feel like my only option is to go back to school, however I’m not sure whether or not it would be worth it, given that fact that being blind I’m not sure I would ever get hired and be able to pay back the loans for the schooling.
