I looked through posts on the same topic but I didn’t find a response that sat well with me, meaning I just didn’t think it applied for me. Tips on learning Krio as an American? Might sound silly but a few months back I posted my DNA test here. I thought it would be fun to learn all of the languages for the countries that I have ancestral ties to, and that’s: Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Angola!

Reading the Peace Corps Krio Lesson Book as I had found that here in the subreddit. If there is something I noticed — It’s that it doesn’t sound too different from English but it’s still its own thing.
