How to win Pandemic for those charms
Post Body

Those charms are super cool and glow and if you're like me and enjoy cosmetic collecting to vary up gameplay every week, this guide is for you.

First off, get two friends. You can do this with random people but you have to get lucky in terms of their skill and if they use comms. Having friends removes this randomness, although you can probably get off without it.

Second, and only do this if you want to get it easy, play sierra resort (the one where you rescue jager) as this is by far the easiest. Although The Nest is not terribly more difficult, the final objective on resort has 30 less seconds to defend for and the objective cannot be permanently destroyed. Sierra veterans is an escort mission and thus, in my biased, opinion, is cancer. Sierra resort is definitely the easiest though.

Third, you MUST have doc and preferably finka. Doc is a god as he can revive himself, allowing him to rush to save objective, be bait for smashers, not needing to worry about low health, and can heal Dr Makintosh or Jager if you're doing those missions. Just be aware that roaches may block your stims to your teammates.

Finka is great for that last minute boost you need for the last 20 seconds of an objective hold, or when 2 of your teammates are down.

The third? Really anyone else. Ash has superb crowd control with 2 C4s and 3 impact ash charges at the expense of less armor. Kapkan is great for early to mid objective crowd control as his kapkans are bound to kill 2-4 grunts as they swarm. If you don't want these, pick someone else.

Now, take your suppressor off of your primary and put your suppressor on your secondary. At down time (in between objectives and hoards) you can easily since your silenced pistol for headshots to clear out ahead of you. You don't need your primary to be silence as your pistol can snipe too and you need that extra damage to plow through hoards. Also, flashlights off when outside so you can sneak around better.

When holding an objective, before you activate the hoard, reinforce all walls, barricade EVERY doorway in the vicinity, even off site to slow them down, put down kapkans too. On the first part of Sierra resort there are 3 possible sites but only 2 will spawn, so you can stea 3 reinforcements from the site that didn't spawn.

Objectives

During objectives shoot through holes in barricades to clear horses. Whenever you can, and as soon as possible, replace barricades as it is quick to do and saves you so much trouble when dealing with enemies. Clear off breachers off of walls if you can do so safely. Stay alert as to where health and Amman restockes are as you may need it mid fight. Remember to stock up completely before starting. Most importantly, communicate.

If you die, don't worry as you will respawn once the objective is completed. You must clear all enemies once time is over, so don't bank on that time running out and all those enemies disappearing.

Set up designated angles to cover each other's back. If you can, remember what directions enemies come from and when, as it appears to be consistent each time. For instance, when defending Jager, the enemies spawn from the front and at the last 30 seconds the start coming in the back door (opposite of garage). This isn't needed but can help as you can focus Fire early on to save Health for the end.

Monsters

Smasher - Easiest way to kill him is to take him outside (not always possible). Regardless, get against a hard surface (not breakable) and shoot at him until he aggro's on you. He will then charge at you and run into the wall (and maybe you). If you get out of the way in time, you can go behind him and press v to do a takedown and deal massive damage. If you don't dodge, an ally should be close enough to do so. 3 knives will kill him, but don't be afraid to shoot his back when available.

You can kill him in literally one minute if you and a partner alternate between walls and shooting him and knifing him. Flawlessly done, with two people on the smasher and one clearing grunts, it'll be done quick.

If you're doc, you can afford to be ran into. 3 speed ops dodge him the easiest but if you get downed, you can just stim yourself anyways and then resume. Again, be sure to always be stocked up with 2 stims. Never hit 0, always save 1 to save yourself, you'll need it.

Rooter - Teleports, is annoying alone but deadly with others. The only two tips I have is to just unload clips into it. If you're rooted (or a friend) not only can you not move, but the rooter is stuck while she does this move too. You can fire rapidly at her and since she cannot move, she does after 2-3 times of doing this.

Apex - One apex is alright but two is deadly. Make sure to have stims and finka boosts as the monsters it makes are stronger than others. Watch for her slime(?) attack as it'll disorient you and you will get overwhelmed quickly. Ultimately, shoot as much as you can and focus Fire on it and you shouldn't have many problems.

Miscellaneous tips

  • flashlight off for stealth when needed

  • suppressed pistol, full damage primary

  • clear out as many enemies as you can get

  • I believe at the end section of Veterans Wing with The Doctor, when you are about the get to the helipad, the enemies will keep spawning until you reach the helipad, so do not stop to kill them all, run and gun like it's cuphead.

*Work together, communicate that everyone is set before starting objective

  • If smasher, Apex, and rooter get you, make your third pick glaz as he shreads through them like butter.

  • Try to reload if possible before you hit run out of a mag. Reloading before emptying a magazine will grant you one extra bullet. Reloading with an empty mag will not give you the one in the chamber until you reload again.

  • have fun, get the charm. If you're bad, get carried.

  • Tachanka can be a good third pick, just be sure to watch his back.

  • Tachankas LMG is best used to defend objectives. Don't worry about placing it every time you see an enemy.
