Shedding???

Hi! I’m considering getting a sib one day! Can someone please tell me what the shedding is like? I’ve heard it’s not as bad as other breeds, but how is it in daily life? I’m sure regular brushing, deshedding and vacuuming should help keep it under control, correct?
Also, can my fellow allergy sufferers talk about their experience? I heard since they’re triple coated cats, their fur helps keep in the dander so they’re not as airborne. Is this true?
