Playback of piano's left hand stops abruptly

I'm inputting by mouse and keyboard a piece for male choir and piano. After thirty bars the left hand of piano stops playing back while all the other stuff plays normally. After the usual checks in audio engine and so on, I tried and put a second piano system. I copied the music from the original system and pasted it into the new system. All played correctly. Thus I deleted the "old" piano system. The music of the left hand stopped again to play at the same place. I am totally at a loss. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
