I haven't run into this until a few days ago. A fair amount of the titles shown in the various categories on the front page and in the "Newly Added" section lead to a "This title is currently unavailable in your region." message upon trying to play them.
I tweeted at them, but they just redirected to their support email I fired off an email but thought I'd check here on the off chance someone knows of a solution, or can confirm that they promote region locked titles in regions they aren't licensed for.
If anyone is in the UK and wants to check, Evil Dead 1&2 were unavailable for me.
(Troubleshooting I tried: No adblockers/VPN, cache cleared, different browser, relogged, restarted etc.)

EDIT 2: Shudder Team responded here. I only use desktop but fired up BlueStacks and tried the app on there and none of the titles I were having issues with were listed. So I guess that means I'll have to go elsewhere for the 4 or so movies I wanted to watch after all :(
