First off I’m not sure whether or not to post this under movies so please make any corrections my dear mods.
I personally loved this movie but IMO quite a few people had the wrong idea before they saw it. That is totally understandable because I can definitely see people being bored or uninterested and the reviews so far haven’t really done a great job of explaining what this movie is. So instead of a typical review I’m going to put down the three biggest reasons why I loved it
Did you watch the old Friday The 13th movies when you were a kid. Were you always wondering where Jason was or what he was doing when the movie was focused on the counselors? The slow shots of him walking and stalking kept me entertained but be prepared for LOTS of that.
Do you love long steady shots of nature? This is basically an ASMR horror movie and nature is on point here. You can hear every cricket and feel every bush he’s walking through.
Do you love cinematography? Some of the shots in this movie are beautiful and creepily unsettling. I especially loved what they did with minimal lighting.
I hope this movie becomes a cult classic because I love how original it was. I want to see more ideas like this!
I’ve seen a lot of fucked up movies, but that scene shook me for 10 minutes after I saw it. The sounds……
For a second, I did think it might be his mom. I know they were trying to build tension, but that scene went on for way too long
Yeah, the ending went on for way too long
I admit the dialogue definitely did not feel very natural. I felt like that should have come off better.
