I've recently watched the movie Click again and now that I'm older and appreciate time a lot more, I think there is a fix for his remote issue.

• First of all don't ever use a fast-forward button since it ruins the life.
• If you need work to be done then just use the pause button, take all the time you need and then unpause.
• You can still mess with people in the pause state and have so much fun doing it.
• And lastly, If you want to not work but still want to enjoy life without thinking about money, then pause and go steal it from a bank or learn to hack when paused and do it digitally.

Obviously, I see the purpose of the movie is to enjoy life every day and don't waste it on work, but honestly a pause button is all you need if you think about it.
