They always show some speedster moving super fast in an enclosed environment. If I run as fast as I can my stride is about 6' ( 2m). If I was to run 5 times faster my stride would be 30' (10m) . From where I am at now if I ran that fast I would slam into a wall on my first step. Go flying off the top of a staircase and slam into a wall on my send step. Slam into another wall on third step. Down more stairs into a wall on 4th step. Then one last wall when I reach my destination. That's just going down stairs in my house. Picture going 10 times faster or 100 times faster. Strides are so long you would be slamming into everything all the time.
