Captain Gene really doesn't know who TLC are.

Captain Gene from the movie The Other Guys quotes TLC. He claims he has no idea who they are or what people are talking about. Captain Gene is working two jobs to put his son thru school so he can explore his bisexuality and become a DJ. A bisexual DJ that might be going thru a TLC phase and has a loving supportive father that might go to some of his shows.
My head canon is that Captain Gene isn't a TLC fan, but a fan of his own son... who DEFINITELY is a TLC fan lol.
