SIB Dark Souls?

Like the title says, should I buy one of the games in the Dark Souls trilogy, or maybe a souls-like game? My main problem with them is that I fucking suck, and I mean REALLY suck. I tried Dark Souls 3 once and couldn't even get to the first boss, let alone beat it, and I tried for literal hours. Is there a particularly easy souls-like, or perhaps something I can do to make it a little bit easier? Or is the genre just not for me?
