As a kid, I loved the Pokemon anime, particularly Diamond and Pearl (the Lucario movie was my favourite and he’s my favourite pokemon), but I didn’t get into the games much. I had Diamond and really struggled with it. I remember liking the story, but I can’t remember much. However, I found it really hard and the gameplay was really boring to 7-year-old me. Then I got Black when it came out and really liked it, especially the story, but the gameplay got really boring after a while. Other than that, I never got into the series and I lost interest in the anime around the same time.

The past few days, I saw someone I follow on Instagram posting a lot about N from Black and White, and it brought back a lot of memories. Now I really want to play Pokemon, but I don’t know which one. I had Diamond and Black, but don’t have any particular love for either so I am open to any of them equally. I have a 3DS and a Switch, so I’d be able to play most.

I should probably add that I hated turn-based combat for most of my life, but over the past year, I’ve been playing a lot of Final Fantasy and I love its combat so I don’t think I’d have the same experience with it this time.

So, which one do you think is the best? I’m open to anything.
