I have juuuuust enough money for a new switch game to treat myself with. I’m absolutely torn between these two games, Pokémon is ever expansive and is what people are probably playing right now. Or I can go with the safe bet and play a game I know for a fact I will enjoy because I will play any classic Zelda game for sure.

What do you guys think? Do you think Zelda would be able to hold me over until next month when I have a little more extra money for a game?

Only reason I lean towards Zelda here is cause I heard some mixed things about the new Pokémon about it being too linear and too easy. Obviously it comes with a load of new features. I feel like the only reason I would get it right now is because the competitive side seems much more easily accessible this time around.

Please help me decide. But please, if you have a third game you would recommend over these two, let me know. My switch collection currently only includes smash bros, Mario odyssey, and Mario Kart 8.
