I had a few extra dollars on my Steam account and I wanted to look for a good shooter to spend some time on over the next few weeks. I'm kinda on the fringe between these two for a few different reasons.
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - I've played a bit of The New Order before and I really enjoyed the smooth shooting gameplay, fast pacing, and historical setting. I figured I should just start with the prequel of the game just so I can really get into the TNB once I have the story background of it. It's a lot cheaper than Bulletstorm to at around 20 dollars last time I checked. I'm leaning towards this one the most because I can immediately follow up with The New Order right after for lower than the price of Bulletstorm, assuming I thoroughly enjoy the campaign of The Old Blood. (40 USD in total for both Old Blood and New Order vs 50 USD for Bulletstorm)
Bulletstorm - A lot more expensive than the latter, but I'm a bigger fan of the sci-fi setting and comedic tone and from what I know of its gameplay, there's a lot more bells and whistles to its combat mechanics than compared to Wolfenstein.
What I'm trying to figure out right now is which one is a stronger shooter between the two in terms of mechanics and if Bulletstorm has enough entertainment value from the length of its campaign when compared to the Old Blood and New Order (separately and combined).
Any information I can get helps, from impressions of gameplay, criticism of story pacing to glitches involved in the playing of the actual game.
EDIT: Got Wolfenstein Old Blood New Order instead because they were on a sale for like 50% off apiece.
