So recently I've been revisiting games like Dishonored and Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door, and I've noticed how similar those two are in regards to how their skill system works. In Dishonored you find these things called Bone Charms, which give you different abilities according to which of these charms you have equipped at a given time -- you only get to equip a limited amount of them, but you can change 'em at will. The same happens in The Thousand-Year Door, with Badges you find around the world that give you skills like regeneration, multijump and more -- and then again, you get to freely equip/swap them as long as you have enough slots available.
Any other recommended games with a similar system? Note that I'd prefer truly gameplay-changing abilities as opposed to skills that just raise like 1% of an atribute at a time (some games just have way too many of these).
- Looking for: preferably action-oriented games based on reaction and skill.
- Not looking for: Diablo-like games (I've played most of them already!), strategy/tactics games (I love stuff like Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre and they'd fit the criteria, but not looking for more now).
