Hey there!
I am probably asking for a game that isn't very popular so not a lot of people can recommend/not recommend it most likely but worth a try!
I am a "skill first" type of gamer. I rarely play for story or graphics but instead for difficulty and skill necessary to play.
Games I enjoyed:
-Binding of Isaac(huge fan of the synergies between items and diversity in runs and things to unlock) -All Dark souls/Sekiro/Elden Ring -Slay the Spire(And lesser extent Monster Train) -Enter the Gungeon -Brotato
Games that didnt click:
-Dead Cells. For some reason this game never clicked for me, I think its cuz I don't have a friend to help me get into it but it just never grabbed me. Tried it twice for 2-3 hours. -Spelunky 2. I think similar reasons to Dead cells. Kind of need to get into it somehow but without a good youtuber i like or friend its tough. -Rogue Legacy 2. Again.. same reasons. -Revita. I played this super early on and was a bit buggy and not a huge fan of the very little diversity there was in bosses.
Tiny Rogues looks like another bullet hell game with lots of synergies and content that I might enjoy! I am very open to other recommendations aswell
PS: I know people will recommend Hades, ive played it already and imo its overrated, please dont hate me. I didnt like how little diversity there was in ennemies and levels with the bosses just being slighlty different versions of themselves. I also thought melee weapons were all just very spammy. Spamming the dash and melee button didn't particularly interest me. The story however was great but I usually don't play games for that!
EDIT: Sorry formating is bad. No clue how to make it better on phone
