Cyberpunk 2077?

Lot of hubbub over the new patch on Reddit. I don’t tend to do well with games where I have to make my own adventure. However, I do like fps. I also am almost 40 and I struggle to learn new games that are complicated.
As an example, I bought escape from Tarkov. I played it 3 times and uninstalled. The learning curve was just too steep.
I watched some YouTube’s on cyberpunk and it looks fun albeit a bit chaotic. Almost like a future grand theft auto. Is that the case?
