I'm looking for something akin to the gameplay of an FF7/9 or Fallout 2. Some turn-based RPG that doesn't have a lot of story, but has a lot of gameplay to work with. Mainly looking for something like this as a casual game to play while I do other stuff like watching youtube or movies.
So games that have interesting leveling paths, or unique ways of handling combat, or something that isn't just a flat "take turns swinging weapons, occasionally cast a spell" if possible.
I'm okay with grabbing some emulated games too, but I would prefer something on Steam
