How to saw off barrel of 28" shotgun??

I recently purchase a shotgun. It's a Winchester SXP Shadow. It has a 28" barrel. It was the only shotgun I could find at the store here in Los Angeles.
I would like to use it for home defense, but the barrel seems a bit long for that. Is there a way to saw off 8 inches from the barrel, without damaging the gun?
