I have recently been using THS for stays within my province in Canada, but have yet to use it outside of canada. I just got accepted for a stay in Los Angeles which Iām really excited about!
With this being said, I know that you obviously canāt tell the borders youāre house sitting as you legally require a work visa. Iāve read lots of people saying that you only need to say āvacationā. This makes me quite nervous as if they ask me where Iām staying, Iām at a loss. I donāt want to lie and say an Airbnb, and then somehow get caught in a lie. And if I say Iām staying at a friends, Iām worried their could be complications if I donāt know enough information about the person whoās house Iām staying at.
Essentially - I donāt want to outright lie but obviously so many people around the world do this with no issues.
I was curious if anyone here has used THS, and if so what they say at the borders? Or if you have any tips in general?
