I'm an admittedly overweight (400 pounds) auto mechanic. I'm walking on concrete all day long and I need a new pair of boots. They need to have a steel toe (or at least a hard composite), and I'd prefer them to be water proof and oil resistant. The size needs to be a 13 wide width. Preferably not something super expensive since I'm not exactly a rich man. $200 is about the maximum I'll be able to afford. What brand would you all recommend?
In the past I've used Brahma and Survivor (both from Wal Mart) and they were OK for about a month or so before they started getting painful to wear. A while back I broke down and bought myself a $160 pair of Timberland Pro boots which were fine for about 6 months, then all the internal padding wore away and they were the equivalent of walking on Legos. Any advice would be appreciated.
