Note that the poster calls Native Americans 'them' and 'they'. Again, shit is bubbling below the surface; it's not overtly racist yet, but there's some hints in there. Some people are fighting back, saying that poverty, history, etc. are factors.
There's a thread starting here just listing places (with high upvote totals) where this can be 'proven to be true'. Then someone says:

As I said, there are lots of good comments in there too -- it's the upvoting of blatantly racist comments that is bothering me. And yes, I did touch the poop a bit, so I'm sorry about that and will do my penance to brd. Oh, and there are at least ten comments in there that are about OP's use of apostrophes, so glad to see that reddit has its priorities straight as per usual.
