It’s literally in eye drops given to babies and my PCP recommended we use it on ours and our daughters pink eye, and it cleared it up in a single day. No eyes turning blue or any side effects.
Not saying I agree with moms groups or people who douse themselves in it or drink it but I’d say there is some validity to it if my doctor recommended it and it produced great results.
The doctor literally told us to goto the grocery store, get colloidal silver off the shelf, and spray it in our eyes… I trust him because he’s a doctor but I was skeptical as shit. It worked though. Within 24 hours we were all pink eye free.
Edit: and had immediate relief
“Mind blowing stupidity, but she’s a nurse, so he trusted her.”
I’m not a doctor so I couldn’t tell you what’s right or wrong or who is better. I just trusted them because they are my physician. Saved me money and certainly treated my ailment; I was thankful.
All I’m saying is this one doesn’t feel like a lot of the other stuff I see in mom groups. Like essential oils curing shit for example… this seems to actually have medicinal properties(but yes should obviously be prescribed by a doctor).
You act like people are such idiots for listening or trying this stuff but your fiance, and my family, got the recommendations from health care professionals, not mom groups.
Oh, and the doctor didn’t give us an antibiotic. Only recommended the silver.

Actually pretty common use in medicine. They gave it to my son in eye drops when he was born and a PCP recommended it to my wife and I to treat pink eye, which it did a great job of.
