Been playing since Crystal in 2003! I remember encountering a shiny Caterpie in Ilex Forest as a kid and not understanding what it was and accidentally killing it. Nowadays I mostly grind Battle Tower pokes in Emerald and Platinum so I’m surprised I haven’t seen another naturally. I have gotten Pokerus twice though so that kind of makes of for things I guess.

Also not counting Pokémon Go because, come on.

I did have to hunt for this one, I’ve been trying the PokeRadar the past couple days. I started out by trying to get a shiny Weezing which is my favorite, but those are a massive pain so I went with Ponyta because it was easier and has a sick shiny form.

Its IVs are definitely not good but it has Flash Fire instead of Run Away so I’m happy! Accidentally messed up the chain while trying to catch a second one. It’s funny how easy it is to mess up even when you’re focused. Would definitely do again now that I understand the system better.
