[gen 4] is this actually rare?

I caught this mew two a couple months ago after SO many resets anyway, after training it for a bit I realised this PKRS thing showing up and wondered what it was. I didn’t realise it was a 1 in 21,000 chance of getting it per battle (I believe). Just wanted to know if this was actually rare or more common then the chances seem (idk how I hadn’t heard of this before as I have been playing Pokémon for years!!)

To be fair, if the Mewtwo naturally had pokerus when you caught it, that's astronomically rare, but if it picked it up somewhere down the line then that's entirely different. Either way, congrats on the shiny Mewtwo
