This year we had a big TG with 5 families and 4 dogs…my sheepadoodle (tiniest of the four…he is 53 lbs), two standard poodles and a lab. All were hanging together. I play with my dog where I chase him and then he does the same with me. My mistake…I chased my dog and the lab thought that he is attacked and immediately started showing full teeth and growling and lunged toward me. I was completely surprised and startled…when from nowhere my 1.5 year old, otherwise super docile and friendly and playful sheepadoodle just went up on his back legs, calmly pulled the 85 lb lab mid air with his two front legs and stood over him with his legs to calm him down…and let me escape a bad fiasco. So proud of my boy right now!!!
