I plated this in 24k bright gold. There is a tiny bit of “burn” on one side of the top cap. In this area, the gold plating is a smidge darker. Most of this razor was polished and then plated in nickel, then plated in gold. Underside of the top cap and top of the baseplate were not polished and as a result are more matte in appearance.

Due to the tight fit of the handle and the baseplate, I can’t guarantee that the plating won’t wear down where these parts meet. It’s happened with past examples.
