Gerber fastball (underrated/forgotten knife) and some flea market no-name knife.
The fastball was picked up at a smokin price 5 or so years ago due the previous owner's sharpening abuse. The bevel on the clip side gets crazy wide towards the tip and both sides were nowhere close in angle. In the past I just matched the bevels. This time I evened the bevels up to about 17° per side (freehand). Now it tree tops arm hair. Hopefully it'll go back to being a respectable user.
The chibenza was at 25° per side. I dropped it to 20° per side to see how it would perform. I put a near mirror finish on the mystery steel as well. This reprofile was easier than the S30v of the gerber. Judging by how it behaved with the mirror polish, I think it's safe to say it's an 8cr, 440b, or similar steel. Shaves facial hair fairly smooth now
