Does being a middle class American male raised in a materialist culture, and living in a very urban environment, make it unlikely that I would ever become a shaman?
Post Body
Specifically in regards to communication and beneficial relationships with plants, herbs, and the natural world. I want to apprentice with an actual shaman and go down such a path, but I am worried my surroundings, upbringing, and lifestyle would prove too difficult to overcome. Granted, I could also have absolutely no clue what Iām talking about. Thoughts?
