So things went bad on that last run. And even though you are awakened, something got a hold of you on that run and sucked out a part of your soul. Your magic is flickering and you need an edge to get back in the game and quick. You have a favor from a cyber clinic a few runs back that you never expected to cash in, but now with a hole in your soul, well that paper from MIT&T says if you put the right amount of tech in your magic won't suffer any more.

So what's on the shopping list chummer?

A little thought experiment. Most awakened wont put chrome in cause of the magic loss. But what if through no fault of your own, your awakened runner happened to end up with an essence hole just big enough to cram that piece(s) of chrome they always wanted in with no additional magic loss? What would you get for your mage? Is there a best piece of cyber for mages? Oh and don't forget technos, they are awakened also.

Also if you have a runner in mind from your past who would choose something substandard cause it fits them I would love to hear that story also.
