I never knew this and assumed GFN would be more powerful as it has RTX support and is a proprietary service by the larger company who manufactures the hardware Blade uses. I only though GFN was limited to 1080p was to decrease bandwidth and server work, not bc of hardware limitations.
But I just tried Assassin's Creed Unity directly on Shadow and then the same exact settings on GFN and the performance is significantly lower on the later.
Shadow is consistently way above >60fps (usually in the 70s-80s) at 1080p with max settings, and can hover around 60fps or surpass it at 1440p with some settings reduced to high and AA down a bit.
But GFN can even get above low 40s at 1080p without some settings reduced. Maybe this is just an issue with DX11 games and GFN is better with Dx12 or Vulkan but I haven't tested it.
Just weird to me that Stadia and Shadow outperform the guys who make the best gaming hardware in the business.
