I've been reading capo ferro's guide to fencing and I would love a look at using capes for defense. They would be shoulder capes like the ezio auditore cape from my best guess from the description for anyone familiar with assassin's creed 2—revelations.
What you are supposed to do is wrap the cape around your arm so you can block the sword with your arm.
I'd like to see what you and others think about it because I'd love to do the three musketeers stage play at some point and how safe it could be for my actors to do.
