Pictures were sent to my parents
Post Body

Writing this with an absolutely hurting heart. After a person with pretty much all my info sent me pictures of myself and then the phone numbers of relatives, I said clearly I wasn’t going to send them $500 and then I blocked the number, deleted all my pictures/messages and set all my social media accounts to private. I let it go thinking, “well this person isn’t going to actually do anything about it since I won’t send them money.” I walked away from my phone only to hear it ring 30 minutes later and it’s my dad. He tells me my phone was hacked and pictures were also sent to my mom’s phone as well. I just don’t get it. Why would someone do that? I didn’t send any money because I know how that works but it just makes no sense to me. It’s like robbing someone with a gun and then actually firing despite the person having $40 in their wallet. Why? What does it accomplish? What’s even the point. I’m just gonna learn my lesson and walk away but I’m left with this immensely uneasy feeling. How can I look my dad in the eyes knowing he’s seen me like that? It’s so painful. Why?
