Has anyone ever actually had a scammer sending messages to your friends and family or whatever they threaten?

This has happened to me a few times now. In the past they threatened to come to my home and go after my family. This time they’re threatening to tell my wife things about infidelity. My question is do they ever actually follow through with these threats? (Obviously not the attacking family one)
