I’m 30, 5’5”, medium curvy / slim thick build. No tattoos, natural, tasteful and artsy.

I’m Philadelphia based but will be splitting my time in the SF Bay Area. I’ve noticed the incredible rate disparity between Black and white / non-Black providers and obviously know what that’s all about — it’s not like things were better in 2014. Simply put, I’m not willing to value my services at a lower rate because of misogynoir. Additionally, it seems that the rates for 30 yr old providers taper off significantly in comparison to the 21/23/25 yr old workers.

My hourly is going to start around $1,600. No clue how that ticket will fare, especially in a city like Philly but I have to try. I’m curious about the experiences of fellow high price Black femme providers.

I’ve searched the sub Reddit and asked friends in the industry but I thought I might get more feedback by asking directly. How are things going for you? Are you getting regular work? What’s your monthly booking frequency / average? What are the best cities? Should I charge different rates for Philly / The Bay / touring? For those 30 , do you feel that your age effects your pay? I would prefer to keep my bush and light under arm hair - how do your clients (who are hiring Black femmes) feel about body hair? Best places to find Black worker community? Any other helpful tips?
