if i work for an agency, do they require sti tests on clients or escorts?

so i was wondering, maybe stupid question, but does SW agencies require regular STI tests on clients? or escorts? so they are sure, that they dont have chlamydia, or other stuff and that they both are safe? and if no, how do you tell? how to protect yourself then? condoms dont give you 100% guarantees that u wont catch something so.
