Anyone else work with an assistant?
Post Body

so i’ve been in sw for about around 20 years now, and i’ve had an assistant for the past 5 years. honestly, it’s been one of the best decisions i’ve made for my work and my mental health. They handles all the stuff i don’t really want to deal with: bookings, client screening, managing my website, running socials, and even coordinating with photographers when i need new content.

They're professional and discreet, which was a big thing for me when i was deciding to hire someone. at first, i was nervous about trusting someone with that much control over my business, but we worked out clear boundaries and communication rules, and it’s been smooth sailing.

to give some perspective, last year i made about $120k, and i paid him $5k for their . that’s roughly 4% of my income, and honestly, it’s so worth it. having them around lets me focus on what i’m best at and saves me a ton of stress.

i’m curious if anyone else here has an assistant or has thought about getting one? how did you find someone you trust, and how do you split responsibilities? would love to hear how it’s working for others!
