Rejected by an agency
Post Body

Has anyone been rejected by an agency before? I applied to a few recently to broaden my client outreach a bit. Only one got back to me, & I did a zoom interview with the woman who ran it a few days ago.

I got an email from her today saying they can't list me as a provider with her agency because I'd "cause significant negative blowback on client review boards", I would "reflect negatively on (agency) as a whole" and make it hard for the other swrs "to stay safe & pay their bills"

She basically said that if she hired me, I'd ruin their reputation & completely tank her whole agency. (She wishes me all the best though 🙄)

I have no idea what she's talking about? I've never had a single negative review. I have plenty of regular clients. I've never been involved in an altercation with a client, with a fellow worker or with police. I don't drink or use drugs. I've been in the industry independently for over a year. I'm on tryst & have my own website.

I'm professional, I conduct myself well & I try to give my clients the most enjoyable experience I can.

This isn't a huge blow to my work plans (like I said, I was mainly looking to broaden my visibility to potential clients a bit) I just wish I knew why she had such an incredibly strong negative reaction to me?
