I Am an Awful Client
Post Body

Been impotent for 12 years (cancer). Decided to get active again after my divorce, having almost zero sex of any kind for the past five years. I found a provider I really liked, but totally failed to inform her of my HSV and HPV. I have not had an outbreak in many years and had the warts frozen off years ago, also, so I just wasn't thinking about my gifts.

I will see her for the second time in a few days, come clean, and hope she understands. She is in her early forties, so I hope she has been vaccinated for HPV. To me, HPV is second only to HIV as a health risk. There is no test for men, and no cure or treatment except for some topicals that MAY keep the warts from returning. Even so, it remains transmissable. Herpes, however can be somewhat suppressed with anti-virals, such as valacyclovir. For the lucky ones, it is an inconvenient skin condition, and some test positive but are asymptomatic (but still transmissable). Condoms are only fairly effective protection, because the viruses can live on thighs and buttocks for example.

I don't understand how anyone who has many different partners can stay "disease free". I wasn't an altar boy, but I started quite late, had only one one-night stand, and got both. I do understand how careful most providers are, probably safer than the general population.

This really sucks. I just hope I did not "gift" my provider. She is one special lady.
