It’s draining. Exhausting. Depressing. I was doing good in a couple cities, but then there’s been stretches where no one has booked in days.

I really feel some of the clients act as if we should all work the same: be ready to host them last minute, ready to respond and entertain at the last minute with no notice. Anything asking them any sort of instructions is passed off as difficult or too much work.

How am I to want to be motivated to see these people in a private setting, if they can’t even follow thru on the most basic parts of communication? Half of them ghost partway thru arranging the session, and then they have the audacity to get mad at me, because I call them out for being unreliable.

It sucks. Here I am a week without a booking, almost feeling like I’m dealing with the same shit I been trying to get away from in my home market.
