I find with many clients: even though we get along in aspects of social/sleeping…many of them are so different from me. There may be some commonality, but I find when it comes down to like how they dress, their hobbies, how they design their home, and what time even they go to bed: often it’s very different than how I do. Not to mention, the age difference is often 20-30-sometimes 40 years apart.
In some ways it feels weird, other times I don’t mind. But I see it always makes itself apparent when spending more time with them outside of business. I know that’s a no no for some, but me being a traveling provider often on tour: it’s hard to meet people my age (late 20s thru mid 30s) who aren’t already established in their group of friends they stick to. I have them, but only in certain cities. I find guys in their 50s/60s are okay with an occasionally person coming thru. People in 20s/30s and early 40s seem to constantly be looking for someone to date so if I’m not around all the time: they find somebody else.
But when I want to go somewhere cross country, I often have to rely on a client to show me around or keep company when I’m in the area.
