For context this is a bank account I use for work, but I had to use my real name to open it of course and just used my work email address, which is (lastnamefirstname @ gmail) and all my e-transfers done through this email have in the past been under my government name, (I know it’s not the greatest idea ever but I figured fuck it, it is what it is) but just today all the sudden it has now switched to my working first/last name, when I sent myself an e-transfer to my other bank account. WTF! I mean awesome! But I never applied these changes as far as I’m aware… has anyone else who has a Canadian bank account had this happen? It still says Good afternoon, government name! When I open online banking, it seems to have only changed my name when I send/receive e-transfers? I’m just a bit perplexed by these seemingly random changes.
