Post Body

I think I'm going to stop seeing anyone who moves slower than evolution and/or is disabled in some way. It's unfortunate that a few bad apples can ruin the bunch. Being disabled myself, I don't want to be taken advantage of.

This client this morning had dual hearing aids (doesn't matter, but is important) and found this out AFTER he does the thing I explicitly said I did not want him to do. Three times I told him I do not offer this specific service.

Several excuses later: "Well, I thought this meant this" was the one that made me lose my mind. "I didn't hear that." So I told him he might need to see a doctor - "Well, I do have hearing aids."

He repeated again that he thought this specific service meant something else and when I asked (nearly yelled) why he wouldn't ask for clarification, he just mumbled some shit.

He paid the extra fee and we left it alone, but this is the 5th time this year I've had a client with some form of a disability gaslight me and say they didn't hear my specific non-consent or try to blame me for miscommunication or try to get me to give up some of my donation because they didn't stay the full time and they're disabled.

I'm having a rough day. Already made a doctors appointment and grabbed a plan b.
