Let’s try this again… Deposit Questions
Post Body

Hello to all the SWers of Reddit and beyond. First and foremost, thank k you all for the service you provide, we all appreciate you.

I am 43, have had my share of encounters over the years; however, recently I have found Reddit (well at least NSFW Reddit) and have noticed a huge trend in securing a deposit from your client prior to accepting an appointment.

I realize where this rule comes from, and for those purposes, I completely understand. I know that it must really suck to get ready for a date, do all the things only to have a cancellation because the guy probably came and is no longer jonesing for a nut. However, I have lost hundreds of dollars of the last two months with deposits from women that don't meet, ignore afterwards, and one tried to blackmail me.

I am looking for feedback, advice, reasons why, etc.

I’m not disparaging anyone, just curious. I have been ripped off, three times in total, and no I am not after a cheap thrill and I don’t mind spending the money for quality. I do my research, I have paid for ‘been verified’, I look up accounts, posts, the words used, language spoken, where they have posted, do the posts make sense, I have had video call confirmation with one of them. I think at least one of three were real, but just got something better to do, or got stoned and didn’t want to do anything. 😂

To be very candid, I think the women in this business had put forth a deposit requirement based on a ton of legitimate bad experiences that wasted their time, or worse. In the long term, this act set the guys up to be manipulated but predators, and is hindering both of our happiness as men are more hesitant, some won’t be back, and on our side it is a bit scary.

In the past I have verified with my ID, LinkedIn page, etc., now this is frowned upon?!?

I am telling you all this, so you are aware, and that what you are doing to protect yourselves, is actually the identical thing that is screwing your customers out of money.

It would be awesome if there was a service of some kind that took the deposit from the customer, held it in an Escrow 'type' account till there is verification of a successful meet, then the escrow company releases the funds. Anyway, looking for thoughts and feedback from the one that know best.

BTW- In Tampa FL, if ya want to reach out; I’m 43/hung/handsome/respectful/

Cheers! •
