Hello everyone.
I've started an OF a week ago and I am so far advertising on Reddit, both because I'm used to it and because it's not that popular in my country, therefore, I'm less likely to be seen by known people.
However, I'm thinking of expanding my advertising to new social media, and the one that seems the most promising (as I know how to use it better than Twitter and prefer still pictures over TikTok style content) is Instagram.
The problem is that, from my personal usage, I have the impression that Instagram takes into account your location when showing stuff to you. So I fear that if I start an account right there, the pictures I post are suggested to people around me, who are way more likely to recognize me than the mostly western Reddit audience.
I may be wrong, so that's why I'm asking whether you think that my worry is founded or not, and if its founded, if there are simple ways of avoiding the risk of being show to people who live near me in Insta.
