Hello gang! Ive become decent friends with my regular sw. I take her grocery shopping etc, and she returns the favors generously. She said she needs to see a doctor for high blood pressure, and she also wants sti testing done. There are local free clinics but she speaks ZERO English. We communicate via translator apps. How can I help her without the clinics being concerned that I'm her pimp or trafficking her? I don't want to just drop her off at the front door and be like "see ya". Ill check with the clinics beforehand to see if anyone speaks her language but i highly doubt that would be the case. Even if she uses a translator app, i know the free sti clinic has a one page questionnaire asking several questions like: is someone forcing you to do sex work? Do you feel safe in your environment? Etc. Im sure to help someone who is in fact in a bad situation. Thats great, im all for that, but my friend is not being forced to do anything. Shes quite the badass if you will. She only has a tourism visa.
