I was watching an interesting documentary talking about the "No Go Zone" in Santa Fe, Columbia. Supposedly the most dangerous spot in the world. Amongst that area there are no police and a ton of prostitution. One individual runs a "high end" sex club. They charge 5 times as much as street walkers, and that's just for the normal area. Then they have VIP rooms.
At the same time, it borders a very wealthy area where the gangs are looking for potential rich targets to rob. It brought me to this question.
How do they get VIP clientele with lots of money to pay for their VIP rooms and feminine services if rich people get robbed even going to the border of Santa Fe? Do the "customers" somehow get in touch with the pimp in charge of the club and get "protection" to get to and from the club? I'm fascinated as to how it works. Unless the VIPs are the rich among the poor like the gang leaders and drug cartel leaders etc? I'd imagine, if they did have rich clients, they'd want to keep them safe as they want the recurring revenue, but I just can't see how anyone who values their life would even attempt to enter the area let alone go to a club in the center of it all.
Anyone know how that world works?
