Why is there an insane amount of timewasters these days?

Usually November/December are great months due to the holidays but this year I've noticed a disgustingly big amount of timewasters these days. I do online SW and this month I've promoted myself a good amount but I'd say only around 20% of the people who talked to me has bought anything or spent money.
