New 2 online SW, seeking advice while growing another career
Post Body

I have been actively educating myself on Kink, BDSM, non monogamy and sex work for my entire adult life. For a long time, I’ve enjoyed openly expressing and exploring my sexuality. I’ve actively and seriously considered various forms of SW for my entire adult life.

HOWVER!!!

I also have had a passion for working with children, and have worked in disability care and healthcare for nearly ten years. I am actively pursuing a professional career in Human Resources in the non profit sector. I am also in university.

I decided to actively pursue online sex work to the best of my abilities this past July out of financial necessity, and my own personal desire. My partner is incredibly supportive and is wanting to pursue this prospect seriously. I have tried to remain as anonymous as possible by not filling my face and avoiding any visibility of my recognizable tattoos. I am no longer invested in the use of working with children long term. I am concerned about discretion, and acceptance if someone affiliated with my career development were to identify me.

That being said, the organization I work for is incredible focused on anti-bias, anti-discriminatory, diverse workplace development from a trauma informed lense. There are also labour laws in place to protect sex workers from discrimination.

I am passionate about kink education, and would love to feel confidant putting myself out there publicly to help educate others on safety, consent and skills. I’m currently in university with an undeclared major, but am interested in pursuing a double major in business and psychology. I would love to work in non profit lead ship and/or activism long term.

Should I be less concerned about public perception in regards to my career? Should I continue to be discreet? Any thoughts/ advice 😅
